TMG Health Employees Go Red

Amarillo, TX – February 20, 2012 – Employees of TMG Health, the leading national provider of Business Process Outsourcing to government-sponsored health plans, recently participated in the National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 3rd to raise awareness and funds for the fight against heart disease in women.

Employees from TMG Health’s Amarillo Call Center participated in the American Heart Association’s Go Red campaign, wearing red garments in support of the effort.

Jack Tighe, President and CEO of TMG Health, noted that the Company supports the Go Red campaign and encourages both its female and male employees to take appropriate steps to prevent heart disease. “Heart disease has traditionally been associated with men, but it is so important for women to realize that they too are at risk,” he said. “By supporting this national awareness campaign, we can educate our employees to the dangers and warning signs of heart disease and encourage them to take preventative steps in order to remain healthy.”

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the number one killer of women and claims more women’s lives than all cancers combined. National Wear Red Day aims to educate women and fund research to ensure that women are represented in clinical studies.

TMG Health employs more than 1,300 staff, including approximately 103 in Amarillo. Of the 103 local staff, 70 percent are women. The Company, headquartered in King of Prussia, Pa. has offices in Dunmore, Downtown Scranton and Amarillo, Texas.
